Meet the specialist: Michael Bates

Michael is part of the FourVision support team where his role is to test new and exiting products and identify potential issues before the solutions are passed to customers. With three years of experience with FourVision’s HR Plus solution from a customer side, Michael knows his way around the product.

Personal life

Michael is a 33 year old from Wakefield, an English town near Leeds. He obtained his Master’s degree in Chemistry from the University of Leeds in 2009. In his spare time, Michael likes to play cricket throughout the summer at his local club. Where he is also involved in running the club. His dream of playing at Lord’s Cricket Ground in London came true, but he unfortunately lost the game.

Besides cricket, Michael is also interested in other sports such as football, rugby, American football and baseball. In addition to being interested in in many sports, he enjoys gaming and films from the Star Wars and Marvel universes.

Professional career

Prior to joining FourVision, Michael worked at WDH where he had the roles of Administrator and Business Analyst. In his latest role, Michael enjoyed being involved in problem solving. With the experience he gained from working with PowerObjects and FourVision consultants as well as his own exploration of Microsoft Dynamics 365, Michael was able put solutions to end users at WDH. He enjoys mocking up these solutions in test environments and playing them back to end users, explaining how the suggested process would meet their requirements.

Position at FourVision

After four years at WDH, Michael joined FourVision, where he holds the role of Support Consultant. This means that Michael is part of the FourVision development team. Here, his role is to test new and exiting products and identify potential issues before solutions are passed to customers. With three years of experience with FourVision’s HR Plus solution from a customer side, Michael knows his way around the product.

Michael is looking forward to working with FourVision’s extensive suit of Web Apps!
