Personal background
Matthew grew up on an island next to Malta’s main island called Gozo. At the age of 17, he moved to Malta to further his studies. It is only a two hour trip from his hometown to Malta, but according to Matthew, this is a point every Gozitan looks forward to since they get to live alone.
At the University of Malta, Matthew has studied Software Development and has been loving it ever since.
In Matthews free time, he likes to do various activities such as cooking different foreign recipes, which usually span over 2-3 days to finish. His current cooking obsession is ramen!
Matthew’s other hobbies are tech-related, such as smart homes or computers, gaming, basketball, and last but not least being an audiophile (playing around with various speakers and headphones to create a unique audio experience).
Professional background
After Matthew finished his study at the University of Malta, he started working at Crimsonwing, now KPMG Business Solutions. At KPMG Crimsonwing, Matthew began as a Dynamics AX 2012 developer on internal systems.
What he especially liked about his prior position was having the opportunity of learning and growing in his career and position at Crimsonwing.
Matthew adds: “I was fortunate to have two outstanding managers, which allowed me to branch out into different paths which have defined my career.”
Position at FourVision
Before working for FourVision, he had already worked alongside with FourVision in the past on various projects. At FourVision, Matthews function is a technical consultant specializing in .NET and Microsoft’s Azure Cloud. Now, he assists in building integrations for various big client projects.
When Matthew started working at FourVision, he began to implement all his prior experiences and skills in his current position. Matthews experience in .NET, Web Development, Azure Infrastructure design, and development in Dynamics F&O makes this mixture of skills beneficial to build integrations between Dynamics Finance & Operations, our FourVision Web Apps and clients/other third parties.
Finally, Matthew is most looking forward to growing and advancing in his career path at FourVision.
